Ward 8 Recipe

A whiskey cocktail with a rich history, the Ward 8 dates back to the late 1800s in Boston. A well-balanced mix of rye whiskey, fresh citrus, and a splash of Bartender’s Daughter Grenadine, this drink is bold, slightly tart, and subtly sweet—perfect for those who love a whiskey sour with a twist.

  • 2 oz (60 ml) rye whiskey

  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice

Make it a mocktail!

Swap the rye whiskey for 2 oz (60 ml) iced black tea. Shake with the juices and grenadine, then strain over ice. Garnish as usual for a refreshing alcohol-free alternative.
