Shirley Bourbon Sour Recipe

Bold, smooth, and beautifully balanced, the Shirley Bourbon Sour combines the richness of bourbon, the tang of fresh lemon, and the fruity depth of The Shirley Syrup. Finished with a velvety froth, this cocktail is perfect for an elevated yet cozy sip.

ServES 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz (60 ml) bourbon

  • 1 oz (30 ml) The Shirley Syrup

  • 1 oz (30 ml) lemon juice

  • 1 egg white (or a few drops of frother)

  • Cocktail cherry or fresh cherries for garnish

METHOD

1. Dry Shake

Combine bourbon, The Shirley Syrup, lemon juice, and egg white (or frother) in a shaker without ice. Shake vigorously to create froth.

2. Shake Again

Add ice to the shaker and shake well to chill.

3. Strain

Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.

4. Garnish

Garnish with a cocktail cherry or fresh cherries

Make it a mocktail!

Replace the bourbon with 2 oz (60 ml) chilled black tea for a non-alcoholic twist. Shake with The Shirley Syrup, lemon juice, and egg white (or frother). Garnish with cherries for a refreshing sip.
