Firing Squad Recipe

Spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet, the Firing Squad is a bold tequila-based cocktail with lime, Bartender’s Daughter Grenadine Syrup (or The Shirley for a hint of cherry and a redder hue), and a touch of spice from bitters. Perfect for those who love a complex balance of flavors with a vibrant kick.

ServES 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz (60 ml) tequila (silver or reposado)

  • 0.75 oz (22 ml) lime juice

  • 0.75 oz (22 ml) Bartender’s Daughter Grenadine Syrup or The Shirley

  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Soda water (to top, optional)

  • Lime wheel for garnish

METHOD

1. shake

Combine tequila, lime juice, Grenadine Syrup or The Shirley, and bitters in a shaker with ice. Shake well.

2. strain

Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

3. Top (Optional)

Add a splash of soda water for a lighter, fizzy version.

3. Garnish

Garnish with a lime wheel for a bright finish.

MAKE IT A MOCKTAIL!

Replace the tequila with 2 oz (60 ml) sparkling water or chilled hibiscus tea. Shake with lime juice, Grenadine Syrup or The Shirley, and bitters. Strain into a glass filled with ice and garnish with a lime wheel.
